Let’s Help Build a Nation of Learners
Established in 2012, The Storytelling Project (TSP) is a Filipino non-profit that fosters love of reading through storytelling to cultivate imagination, inspiration, and hope in Filipino families.
We travel to far flung, difficult to reach remote communities. We aim to directly impact grade school students, their families, and schoolteachers; and indirectly, the whole community.

Our Story
TSP’s founders, Rey Bufi and Grace Bufi, are former employees of a telecommunications company who were involved in its employee engagement activities. They used to hold weekend storytelling activities for partner institutions of the company.
However, both founders realized the non-sustainability of this kind of activity as these were not done regularly. Furthermore, there was no clear assessment of the impact of the program on the reading engagement of the kid beneficiaries. Therefore, they thought of a month-long storytelling program as a long-term solution.
